Wine, Culture and Traditions at Cantine Russo

Here is what's in store for you

The Russo family dedicates itself exclusively to the cultivation of its own vineyards, located on the north-western side of the Etna National Park.  At almost 700 metres above sea level, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Etna, the Alcantara Valley, the Nebrodi Mountains and the ancient town of Castiglione di Sicilia.
During the tour through the vineyards, you can admire the unspoilt beauty and listen to the sound of nature and perhaps even hear the roar of Mount Etna. You will also be briefly explained the wine history of Cantine Russo, the local cultivation and the peculiarities of producing wine grown on volcanic soil. 
You can choose one of several tastings listed below. 

-"Easy" Wine Tasting: Contrada Crasà Etna Red Year 2014; Rampante Etna white DOP Year 2018; Rampante Etna rosè DOP Year 2017. Enjoy learning how to make easy traditional local plate : tipical bread “cucciddatu” with our oil , tomatos , capers, onion, black olives, basil, salty ricotta cheese , mozzarella.

-“Sparkling” Wine Tasting: Mon Pit – Classic Method Brut blanc de blancs Vintage 2015; Mon Pit Classic Method Brut white Vintage 2016, paired with a mixed different type of sicilian arancini

-“Premium” Wine Tasting: Tasting of our reserves, Krasì Etna red DOP Year 2007; Rampante Etna red DOP Year 2008; Rampante Etna red DOP Year 2009;Rampante Etna red DOP Year 2012;  paired with a mixed of different type of local cured meats and cheese
