Wine day tour from Cape Town

No visit to Cape Town and the Western Cape Province is complete without exploring the wine areas. 
Within half an hour to an hour of the city there are over 250 wineries. Most of them welcome visitors and offer tastings, sometimes free and some of them with a fee. The roads are top class and the scenery breathtaking. Lush green vineyards creep up the foothills and sides of the towering mountains and numerous examples of the typical Cape Dutch architecture – white washed gabled walls and thatched roofs – sit tranquilly among them. Complementing the scenery are a great number of beautiful restaurants some of them with outstanding views and run by world class chefs. Trip Advisor reviews recently put La Colombe in Constantia (30 minutes from Cape Town) in seventh place among the top ten restaurants in the world. 

This wine tour offer private and custom designed tours, visiting the premier wine producers in the area and lunching in the best gourmet restaurants. Typically a full day tour starts with a pickup at your accommodation at 9 am.

We then drive to the scenically stunning wine area and visit three wineries in the morning before breaking for lunch. After lunch we visit another two wineries and then return to your accommodation at approximately 17h00. There are several wine regions and to get a good overview of them it is best to do three days but nevertheless in one day you will get a good flavour of the wine environment.
