Wine Tasting in the heart of Val d'Orcia at La Nascosta
Here is what's in store for you
By visiting the winery of La Nascosta, with its evocative architecture, you will have the opportunity to understand the oenological path adopted by the winery, created by the Mastrojanni family in 2011 in the heart of Val d'Orcia.
The tasting follows the path of the wine by, in fact, going through all the main rooms of the cellar: the reception of the grapes in front of the cellar, the winemaking room with the steel and cement vats, the barrique cellar for aging in French and Austrian oak barrels, The rooms for aging in the bottle with controlled temperature and humidity, and finally the tasting room where you can taste the wine.
With its hypogeal architecture, the winery is perfectly positioned within the iconic hills of the Val d'Orcia dominating part of the winery's vineyards from above. Its location near the extinct Amiata volcano at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level has provided the Mastrojanni family with the opportunity to create a winery not only devoted to classic San Giovese but also to great white wines with international grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng and Traminer. The La Nascosta tasting is indeed unique precisely because of its combination of great tradition and courageous innovation!

La Nascosta
The Tuscan chardonnay was amazing!
An extraordinary experience
Incredible welcome, quality and learning
Luca was an impeccable host: welcoming, friendly and with a great passion for his work. He guided us, in a simple and friendly way, through all the stages of his production, from the harvest to the bottling.
The tasting of the seven La Nascosta wines was a real pleasure, both for the room where it takes place (truly beautiful) and because it was enriched by Luca's explanations, which transformed the drinking into a learning opportunity about the world of winemaking.
The quality-to-price ratio is truly excellent. An experience that I not only highly recommend, but that we hope to repeat as soon as possible!
