Upon entering this boutique enoteca, with its shelves brimming with an array of fine wines, you'll be warmly welcomed by your host Patrizia and her sommelier son, Giampaolo. As you take your seat, prepare to embark on a captivating journey through Italy's diverse wine regions, expertly guided by Giampaolo, who will lead you through the tasting of six exquisite wines.
Your experience begins with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine, either Prosecco or Franciacorta, paired with taralli, a traditional Apulian snack.
Following this delightful start, you'll savour two distinct Italian white wines, each accompanied by a selection of artisanal cheeses from Umbria or Tuscany.
The tasting reaches its crescendo with two outstanding red wines from Italy, perfectly matched with a curated assortment of salami and cured meats. Throughout this gastronomic adventure, you'll gain insights into various wine techniques, discover the unique characteristics of each wine, and master the art of wine pairing, all while delving into the rich history and culture of Italian winemaking.
You will taste 6 wines in total:
- 1 sparkling wine tasting (Prosecco or Franciacorta)
- 1 rosé tasting (Rosato di Negroamaro IGP or Malavasia Puntinata)
- 2 white wine tastings (Vermentino, Verdicchio, or Pecorino)
- 2 red wine tastings (Chianti, Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino, or Amarone)
Each wine will be paired with food: 4 boards featuring taralli, salami, cured meats, cheeses from Umbria or Tuscany, bread and olives
