Katarzyna Estate LtdKatarzyna Estate is situated in one of the most fertile wine growing regions of Bulgaria and Europe. The cellar is located in the southernmost part of Bulgaria, 2 km away from the village of Mezzek and about 7km away from Svilengrad at the foot of the East Rhodope Mountains. The area is hilly, picturesque and still remarkably wild. In the hills and the gullies flourish the emblematic for the area poplar trees, oak trees and hornbeam, a place where the Maritsa River valley is overgrown with dense willow. The land is sandy, rocky and poor which is why the main crops in the area are sesame, tobacco, cotton, almonds, peaches, apricots and grapes. The climate is mild continental with well-presented Mediterranean influence. An essential precondition for the favorable growth of the vineyards in the region is the peculiar air corridor that is formed in the space between Sakar Mountain and The East Rhodopes- Orpheus’s mountains. The typical characteristics of this climate include the hot summer and mild winter (January temperatures over 1 degree Celsius), the comparatively small temperature amplitude, the autumn-winter maximal rainfall (average annual rainfall of 696mm) and the lack of stable snow coverage. The sunny, warm and relatively lengthy autumn is also distinctive for this area. Katarzyna Estate is located in the region with the most prolonged sun shining, where during vegetation period the temperature sum reaches 4000 C. In the different parts of the estate the soils are of the types Chromic luvisol, Eutric cambisol and Rendzina .

Edoardo Miroglio winery is specialized in the production of quality white, rosé and red wines, as well as sparkling wine (Traditional Method) – white and rosé, rakia and liqueur. The major brands produced by the winery are: Elenovo (Reserves), Edoardo Miroglio (premium brand), Sant'Ilia, Soli and Saint Ilia Estate (commercial brands). Elenovo and EM (Edoardo Miroglio) are mostly distributed in selected hotels and restaurants, as well as specialized wine stores, while Soli, Sant’Ilia and Saint Ilia Estate are commercial brands designated for the domestic and export markets. Vila YustinaVilla Yustina is situated on the outskirts of theRhodope Mountain’s part with the name Yakata in the village of Ustina, 26km away from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The winery location isspecifically chosen, because Plovdiv region is among thefew with a significant wine history. In this area, you canhear many tales about Thracians and their wine, ancientrites and mysteries. Herodotus described the local Thracians as warlike tribe with an independentspirit, that undertook the difficult task to be guardians of the sanctuary of Dionysus. It is believedthat the ancient Thracian capital - Besapara was located near Ustina. The mission of Villa Yustina is to develop quality wines from the Rhodope Mountain’s Collar and wine tourism in a region with rich heritage and magnificent scenery.

Midalidare EstateMidalidare Estate is a project of the Kazakhstani businessman Eugene Yusupov. Although he is not living in Bulgaria himself, his love for history, good wine and beautiful nature made him invest in Mogilovo village. A few years later and many more hours of hard labor transformed Midalidare into attractive destination for wine tourism. The first wine cellar of Midalidare has been built in 2009. The goal of the Cellar was to produce bottled wine in small series but with a strong character with a capacity of only 120 000 bottles per year. This project kicked out successfully and in 2011 was opened a second cellar in Mogilovo with a capacity of 160 000 bottles per year. Midalidare cultivates 160 ha of vineyards, all in the area of Mogilovo, where the furthest distance from one of both cellars is barely 5 km. Wine is produced exclusively from grapes of own vineyards and the wine technology incorporates all modern requirements for environmentally friendly product.

Chateau Copsa ComplexThe tradition in winegrowing and making wine in the Minkov`s family, stems from two generations. Minko Minkov, father of the current owner of the winery and Chateau Copsa – Ivan Minkov was a longtime specialist in the production of wine and longtime head of the iconic in the past Winery “Valley of Roses”. Inspired by family history and the charge of the Rose Valley, the family tradition continues to this day. Following the basic rule that good wine comes only from grapes from well grown vineyard, in 1998 the owner of Chateau Copsa – Minko Minkov began buying land for vineyards and unification of old vineyards and planting new ones. Built and equipped a base for wine in the town. Klisura, and in 2008 the winery owns Chateau Copsa, rising on a hill among the vineyards, where natural conditions underground cellar is aging. Chateau Copsa is unique Bulgarian family cellar where one is united in growing grapes in the vineyard areas, produced and bottled wine in their own wine cellar.

Besides the legendary Spartacus who led the biggest slave uprising against the ancient Rome, the Medi were known for their advanced viticulture and enology and the cult they had to the wine. In honor of the people who laid the foundation of wine-making in this part of the valley, the winery was named MEDI VALLEY. Medi Valley Winery is classical winery complex established in 2007. It is located in the village of Smochevo at the southwest foot hills of Rila mountains at the altitude of 630 meters above the sea level at the most northern part of Struma River Valley, at the picturesque road to the Rila Monastery. It consists of a modern winery and 370 acres of vineyards, planted with varieties Chardonnay, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery consists of an administrative building and a separate completely covered production area. The first floor of the administrative building has a big hall – wine bar and a wine shop which offers Medi’s wines. The panoramic terrace, with a view to the magnificent Rila mountain is a perfect place for outdoor wine tastings. The production area consists of a reception section for grape processing, a section for basic vinification and wine storage and as well as a bottling section. In the basement is the cellar where the wines age in bariques and the area where the bottled wines age under optimal conditions (temperature and humidity) before they are offered to the market. In 2010 Medi Valley launched a new concept for the winery, with the objective of transforming it into the pearl in the crown of the Bulgarian South-west. The Winery started creating interesting, rich, specific terroir wines with individual style and unique character, made of grapes, specially selected at their optimal ripeness for each type of wine.

The landscape has not changed, just a new construction has been built in this truly harmonious botanical garden. Built as a classical mansion cellar, including also the production of elite wines and opportunities for wine tourism, recreation and business meetings, the complex is completed by a new spa-hotel adjacent to it with two swimming pools and recreation area. Next, under the shadow of the golden Persimmon a small congress center with offices and conference facilities has been built. Sintica winery has 325 acres. own vineyards (175 acres of which are created now) of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Early Melnik grape using the French elite planting material. Vineyards are located in the territory of the ancient city of Heraclea Sintica.This is Sintica’s reference to history-it existed in the third century BC, and very close to the picturesque and magnificent area of Rupite. 2008 is the first year of the new history of the Winery Sintica. From the previous winery the only thing preserved is the unique underground cellar for storage and aging of wines, with a constant natural temperature of 14 º C and natural ventilation of air. It has a capacity of eight hundred casks of the type "barriques" and in its walls there is a built-in niche for maturation of wines in bottles.
