Tenuta MaffoneTenuta Maffone is the story of a family and of a little corner of Liguria. A unique land called "frazione Acquetico", at 500-600 meters over sea level, kissed by the sun and caressed by the light winds of mediterranean sea a tiny strip of land inhabited by few dozen of people in the province of Imperia - A magic place where the tradition of "producing good wine and oil" cooperates with the surrounding natural resorses. From 1950 vineyards of Tenuta Maffone enchant those who descoveres them and produce refined wines of unfor getable "ligurian taste". A precious production, strictly doc wich includes "Ormeasco di Pornassio", "sciac-trà" and "Pigato" of Liguria's west Riviera. In addition to it there are olso waine distilled grappe highly selected and an unmissable line of extra-vergin olive oil unfiltered. "Tenuta Maffone" is a "ligurian story", a story to discover and tell.

Cantina SassariniL'orizzonte del fondatore della Cantina Sassarini, Natale, era decisamente orientato al futuro. Percepì la qualità e l’interesse economico nella produzione di un vino locale, ancor prima che la DENOMINAZIONE D’ORIGINE, venisse sancita con il disciplinare del 1973. In famiglia tutti facevano vino per l’autoconsumo e Natale deve aver percepito le potenzialità di un mercato vinicolo che poteva svilupparsi negli anni. Costruì, quindi, la sua cantina e raccolse intorno a sé numerosi contadini che coltivavano incessantemente le loro vigne con orgoglio e maestria. Pochi altri seguirono questa strada, ma nell’ultimo ventennio un gruppo di “angeli matti” (cit: Veronelli) ha recuperato le terre dei nonni e dei padri, costruendo muretti a secco e piantando nuovamente la vigna. L’orizzonte di Natale Sassarini sembra ora fondersi nell’orizzonte di tutti i vignaioli delle Cinque Terre e del figlio Giancarlo che ne porta avanti con orgoglio il lavoro cominciato mezzo secolo fa. Il cinquantesimo della Cantina Sassarini può essere la prima pietra per consolidare una tradizione enoica delle Cinque Terre che sino ad oggi è mancata.

Azienda Agricola Podere del MaroLa nostra è una giovane storia di resilienza, innovazione e ritorno. Ci trovate in una parte del Paese inaspettata, l’alta terra ligure di Ponente, un’area interna lontana dalle grandi città, ma allo stesso tempo sorprendentemente viva, fertile e in salute. Ci prefiguriamo come difensori dei saperi antichi, ma soprattutto come instancabili innovatori; tuteliamo il patrimonio rurale ed il paesaggio di un territorio fragile e marginale. Siamo contadini, evoluti, quello che vogliamo è una nuova alleanza fra uomo e natura. Pochi ettari di vigneto, in una vallata meravigliosa e scenografica, caratterizzata dai tipici terrazzamenti, esposti a sud. Si tratta di una viticoltura difficile, che richiede un lavoro manuale e artigianale nella conduzione della vigna. Vogliamo restituire il sapore di un terroir autentico, ancora inesplorato. Al vigneto si sposano gli uliveti sparsi nella valle. Curiamo circa 700 piante di ulivo e produciamo l’olio extra vergine monocultivar taggiasco. Api, officinali, orti, giardini, grani antichi, piante da frutta e quanto serve alla nostra famiglia.

FontanacotaL'azienda agricola fontanacota, è nata nel 2001 da una realtà agricola già esistente. La struttura aziendale si compone attualmente di due distinte tenute, la più grande situata in Val Prino (IM) e la seconda a Pornassio in alta Valle Arroscia (IM).

GuglierameThe “Azienda Vitivinicola Eredi Ing. N. Guglierame” Winery, currently run by brother and sister, Raffaele, Agostino and Elisa Guglierame, comprises approximately 2.5 hectares of vineyards, passed down from generation to generation, by the Marquises of Clavesana. The cultivation of the Ormeasco vine was introduced in 1299 with the Statute of the Gestores Universitatis Pornaxi drafted by the Notary Gandalini. Ormeasco wine has received recognition by being accorded its own D.O.C status, called Ormeasco di Pornassio, or even just Pornassio, which has a ruby red colour (Ormeasco) if made by the red wine vinification method, and pink coral (Ormeasco sciac-trà) if made by the white wine vinification method. Its alcohol content varies from 12 to 14 per cent depending upon weather conditions during the growing season. Ormeasco wine has a dry, slightly bitter taste which, combined with its aroma, makes it extremely pleasant. It is still today produced in the ancient wine cellars of the Mediaeval Castle of Pornassio, using traditional methods and aged in oak barrels of medium capacity (roughly 25 hl) with a view to improving its quality, which is optimised with ageing.

È questo il marchio dell'Azienda Vitivinicola Fratelli Giannarelli, due fratelli alla quinta generazione di vignaioli nel territorio di Bolano, in provincia della Spezia. Classe 1961 Enrico e 1968 Massimiliano, i fratelli Giannarelli hanno ereditato dai famigliari, a cominciare dalla mamma Maria Giulia Scapazzoni e dallo zio Oreste, un amore vero e concreto per la terra. Pur dedicandosi anche ad altre attività, dal 2009, da quando hanno trasformato una tradizione di famiglia in un’azienda a tutti gli effetti, non hanno mai mancato una vendemmia, facendo della vigna il loro luogo del cuore e non solo. Per Enrico e Massimiliano la vigna è gioco e passione ma anche calcolo e sperimentazioni. E soprattutto è casa.

Cantine FedericiThe productive structure of Baia del Sole is at the cutting edge of its field: the winemaking area is equipped with the latest technology, and the modern isobaric bottling ensures the utmost care in packaging. The new winery which covers 1600 square meters was inaugurated in 2015 and is structured to blend in with the surrounding landscape: it has been designed and built according to the principles of bio-architecture. This winery which complements the other three existing historic structures, represents the wish to reduce environmental impact and maximise energy savings.The architectural features, at the cost of a great economic effort, function to ensure an environment ideal for wine production whilst respecting the environment. For this reason, the structure, despite being only a few hundred meters from the sea, was conceived almost entirely underground, and has adopted strategies and bioclimatic solutions. The unique and particular choice to build below sea level, aims to harness the natural stability of temperature and humidity guaranteed by the constant presence of the underground aquifer. The underground level houses air-conditioned rooms, used as the barrel room which is the heart of the winery. The area is equipped with barrique and tonneau barrels to allow the wines to rest and mature. The technological solutions used in the wine cellar ensure total control over every stage of production. Solar panels, natural cooling systems, shielded electrical systems, and the use of wood, stone and brick facings are just some of the tricks used to make the structure environmentally friendly and well integrated in an area of great environmental and archaeological sensitivity.
