Baglio Di PianettoBaglio di Pianetto stems from the desire of its founder to create a wine that celebrates the uniqueness of the Sicilian terroir through the savoir faire of the great French chateaux. A challenge born out of the love for the land and its fruits which since 1997 has pushed Count Paolo Marzotto and his family to innovative and daring choices, in full respect of territorial identity. Today, the second and third generation alongside the founder in this endeavor with the same devotion and the same enthusiasm.

Val Di SuroRisale al II secolo una moneta Romana, prezioso ritrovamento della nostra Val di Suro, testimonianza di munifici scambi commerciali tra queste rive e l’Impero. Da qui partivano orci ed anfore cariche di Vino e Frumento destinati a Roma. Da allora la vocazione di questa terra non è mai mutata; è qui, sotto questo sole e da tempi che confinano con l’eternità, che matura il nettare degli Dei. Ci troviamo immersi nella zona protetta del Parco delle Madonie e, percorrendo le piste che attraversano le Tenute di Val di Suro, appaiono subito spettacolari ed imponenti i tralci di vite che vigorosi si innalzano ad altezze insospettabili per questo bordo del Mediterraneo; i frutti perfetti, pronti per la Vendemmia, infatti attendono le cesoie dei vignaioli ad 1,5 mt dal suolo. I grappoli vengono nutriti da un terreno fresco, ricco di oligoelementi, e sono attraversati dalla brezza marina del Mar Tirreno che da sempre assiste al loro indomito rinascere. Sarà poi la potenza del sole siciliano a conferire colori e sapori unici ai nostri vini. Questo contrasto ed una forte escursione termica infondono a questi nettari note davvero straordinarie. It dates back to the second century a Roman coin, a precious find of our Val di Suro, testimony of munific trade between these shores and the Empire. From here there were jars and amphorae filled with Wine and Wheat destined for Rome. Since then the vocation of this land has never changed; It is here, under this sun and from times bound up with Eternity, that matures the nectar of the gods. We are immersed in the protected area of the Madonie Park; The perfect fruits, ready for harvest, are waiting for the vineyard shears 1.5 mt from the ground. The grapes are nourished by a fresh soil rich in trace elements, and they are crossed by the sea breeze of the Tyrrhenian Sea, which has always attend to their indomitable birth. Then the power of the Sicilian Sun will give unique colors and flavors to our wines

Dei Principi di SpadaforaSpadafora is a noble Sicilian family whose first historical records date back to 1230. During the centuries, the House dominated over five principalities, a dukedom, two marquisates, a shire and twenty-five baronies. Some of the members of the Family had prestigious offices during the ‘Regno di Sicilia’ and in some European Countries. The founder of Azienda Agricola Spadafora is Don Pietro Spadafora, who inherited the estate from the uncle Michele De Stefani, talented farmer and racehorse breeder. The estate was damaged by the 1968 earthquake, but Don Pietro manages to rebuild and redevelop the company, retraining the autochthonous vines and bringing to Sicily international grapes, for high quality wines. The current owner is Francesco Spadafora, son of Don Pietro, married with his wife Claudia and accompanied by his daughter Enrica.

Duca di Salaparuta S.P.A.The territory of Mount Etna features unique soil and climatic conditions, which attracted the attention of Duca di Salaparuta many years ago. Here, in 2001, the Vajasindi Estate was purchased in the Passopisciaro area of the Municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. The aim was to launch an innovative experiment inspired by the vision of the outstanding Italian oenology specialist, Giacomo Tachis: the idea of planting a Pinot Noir vineyard. Although a typical grape variety of Northern Italy, Tachis believed that in the volcanic soils and at the altitudes of Mount Etna, Pinot Nero would find favourable conditions for expressing original and surprising nuances. As a result, we decided to plant this vine on the slopes of the volcano and after 5 years of settling into its new environment, the grapes started to produce a wine that over the following years developed to fulfill its full potential. Today the vineyard has developed to its full force and is producing excellent quality grapes. The Pinot Noir that is born here is a wine rich in mineral veins, a gift of the lava composition of the soil: intense and decisive while also preserving the typical freshness of this grape when grown in its classic northern latitudes.
