About Winery and Wines

From the moment the idea took shape to produce premium, small lot wines, we have stayed focused on the land, the fruit, the wine, and the life. With that in mind, our mission is to produce fine wine, from exceptional grapes, grown in a high altitude setting. As we continue to learn about balance and harmony, and their relationship to winemaking, we consider the individual elements from which wine is derived: soil, water, fruit, and craft. From the composition of the soil, to the handling of the grapes, our wines speak to this relationship.

Wine production is as old as the hills – literally. And our approach to winemaking is most definitely old school, and we believe the respect we show the land is captured in every bottle of wine we produce. The land gives us sustenance, and we repay that debt with sustainable vineyard practices. Located in the Fair Play AVA, our 12-acre vineyard has the perfect terroir for the varietals that we blend. The rocky, granitic hillsides with cool evening breezes nurtures our grapes throughout the growing season, forming the foundation to create elegant wines in the Southern Rhone tradition. Because we carefully touch each part of the process, Baiocchi Wines are truly hand crafted (and we have the calluses to prove it). However, we put much more than our hands into our wine; we pour our lives into it the wine we make, as many have done before us.
