About Winery and Wines

Bodega Hinojosa, born from a family with great ambitions, originated with immigrants who settled in the Mendoza lands in the 20th century. In 1940, Don Silvestre Hinojosa acquired the winery from the Dumit family, marking the beginning of a winemaking history in the Uco Valley that endures. Don Silvestre, owner and pioneer, defied the expectations of his time by investing in viticulture in the Uco Valley. Despite skepticism, his vision and wisdom foresaw the promising future of the Hinojosa family. More than a visionary, Don Silvestre instilled values and unity. Sunday barbecues strengthened family ties, with workers becoming a part of it. Birthdays were celebrated with melodies and fine wine. Over time, he passed the business to his sons: José, a master of wines, and Ramón, a leader of the vineyards. Through their hard work, the winery reached an annual production of 8 million liters.

The vision of Don Silvestre, carried forward by his sons, is the legacy that the third generation continues. Today, the winemaker and accountant are grandchildren of Don Silvestre, upholding the tradition of quality. Bodega Hinojosa embodies family heritage and a passion for wine, celebrating history and excellence in every glass.

Bodega Hinojosa's Wines convey the family tradition of Don Silvestre, conservative in style and remarkable in elegance.
