What I would call to be a...

What I would call to be a boutique winery nice and small but owned by the giant company Torres we entered a new modern building and they certainly have some great artifacts of Jean Leon and the display of the wines and photos are amazing.
We taste tested some of the wine with cheese, olives and crackers and it was a very enjoyable trip and our guide was very knowledgeable which always makes these guided tours more enjoyable.

Una bodega molt petita i familiar. Tot i això desde el moment que vam arribar tot va ser perfecte. L'Asier, el nostre guia, va estar en tot moment per nosaltres, ens va explicar des de les coses més curioses de la bodega a les més generals. La història del senyor Jean León val la pena conèixer-la. El tast de vins va ser excel·lent, ja que no nomès vam tastar-los si no que l'Asier ens va explicar cóm saber algunes característiques del vi nomès amb mirar-lo o olorar-lo. Molt recomanable!

About Winery and Wines

Jean Leon has 150 hectares of land including 70 hectares for growing vines, of which 65 hectares are currently under production, divided up into different vineyards in the heart of the Penedès. Jean Leon wines were precursors of what we now call Single Vineyard Wines (Vi de Finca in Catalan). This designation, issued by the Catalan government, guarantees that the wine originates in a specific vineyard and displays a unique personality born from the interplay of the soil, the vines, the microclimate and the work carried out in the vineyard. Our Vinya La Scala Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva, Vinya Le Havre Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva, Vinya Palau Merlot and Vinya Gigi Chardonnay are the first wines in the Penedès, and the second in all of Catalonia, to receive the Single Vineyard Wine designation. Jean Leon currently has 65 hectares of land under production, of which 42 hectares are devoted exclusively to producing Single Vineyard Wines.
