Nestled in the heart of the “Koue Berge” 20km south east of Stanford, next to Salmonsdam nature reserve, Cold Mountain now owned by the Du Preez family is the home of BRUNIA WINES. Owners Willie & Annetia du Preez, ex Eastern Cape stock farmers, relocated to Stellenbosch in 2003 following the sale of their Molteno farms. This was followed by a period of absolute bliss being close to our most treasured possessions, the four girls, Lee-Zanne, Zelde, Ilze and Sheree having always been away at boarding school or university. In late 2004 the Du Preez family purchased Cold Mountain, fulfilling a dream to develop and own a wine farm one day! Development commenced in 2005 clearing alien trees, installing an irrigation network, planting the first Sauvignon Blanc block and setting up a homestead and farm yard as this was barren land before.
