About Winery and Wines
Antica Hirpinia is at Taurasi city door: the overall estate is in an area of 6000 square meters, where a modernly equipped winemaking area is placed side by side to the historical underground cellar. In the temperature controlled area, French oak barriques, casks and barrels are kept together with sophisticated high-tech machines for the best control of the winemaking process. The wine tasting room is a warm place where comfortably tasting our wines. More in the wine shop, you can choose the wines you liked the most or the best combination for a gift.
Vineyards are in the three main DOCG wine production areas, in Irpinia, in the heart of Campania region. Sustainable viticulture of our vines ensures a low impact on environment. The vineyards are divided in several small parcels for an overall of 30 hectares, placed at an altitude from 300 to 600 meters above sea level. Soil are pretty complex made up of chalks, clays, poor of organic elements, but rich in potassium and phosphates.
