About Winery and Wines
Cantina Santadi is located in Sulcis, a southwestern area of Sardinia, as the crow flies, just a few kilometers from the wonderful beaches and white dunes of Porto Pino. Founded in 1960, Cantina Santadi's objective nowadays is to give visibility and identity to the territory's main cultivar: Carignano, while not neglecting Sardinia's traditional white grape varieties, such as Vermentino, Nuragus, and Nasco.
Sulcis is the oldest geological area in Sardinia. A coastal stretch rich in geographic variety, it alternates between hilly reliefs of modest altitude, vast stretches of flat land, and, further inland, mountainous reliefs that preserve a great wealth of biodiversity. The coastline is at times impervious, with sheer cliffs, and at times gentle and enchanting with beautiful white beaches surrounded by natural pines and centuries-old junipers. The grapes processed by the winery come from vineyards planted in this unique territory, within a diameter of about 30 km.
