About Winery and Wines
The Mastros de ’Inu cellar is a wine-making company set up in Dorgali in 2003 thanks to the passion of the Nonne family. Antonello, Patrizia and Simone have followed in the footsteps of their grandfather Bachis - from whom they learned the values of rural life - and personally process the produce from farm to table.
The vineyard
The Iloghe vineyard covers four hectares, more than half of which destined to the production of Cannonau, the leading grape variety in our area, while the rest is destined to local grape varieties and Merlot. Located 180 m asl and facing East, it is characterised by a sandy soil generated by the disintegration of the granite terrain, meaning it is extremely permeable, harsh and ungenerous towards the vines.
Vermentino is cultivated on a granite terrain not far from the cellar. The hours of sunshine and presence of wind predominantly from the South-West mean the main diseases such as downy mildew, oidium and botrytis do not affect our grape bunches, which can be easily managed with three seasonal treatments. An authentic experience between the rows and our cellar that can be integrated with visits to the numerous archaeological and natural sites surrounding the vineyard. We are waiting for you to share our passion for the world of wine and to have you taste our products.
You will find out more about processing and the secrets that turn grapes into high-quality wines. If you are looking for a tasting tour in Dorgali or during your holidays in Cala Gonone or Orosei, do not miss out on this experience.
Amoradore
CANNONAU DOC ROSÉ WINE
The name means “fiancé” in Sardinian. Amoradore makes reference to the old Dorgali tradition whereby rosé wines used to be drank during wedding receptions and betrothals. Dorgali is the town that - maybe more than others - boasts a tradition in the preparation of rosé wine, "Biancu" in Dorgalese, obtained by drawing off Cannonau red grapes on the first week of September.
Impare
VERMENTINO DI SARDEGNA DOC
Impare is the latest addition to our cellar. The name means "together" in Sardinian and it represents our wish to return to light-heartedness, a celebration of conviviality. Vermentino appeared in our area a few decades ago and has quickly become a favourite with the public.
Mastros
CANNONAU DOC RED WINE
Mastros was our starting point, where our experience, experimentations and ambitions started off. Wine masters start from an idea and give it shape, day after day, until the masterpiece is complete. The word "mastros" means master in Sardinian and is dedicated to our grandfather Bachis, our first vine master.
Mastros
Classico
CANNONAU DOC RED WINE
Mastros Classico is our pure Cannonau obtained from the finest grapes of the Carzadu vineyard. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, it represents the achievement of the goal from which our experiences, experiments, and ambitions have arisen. The wine artisans start from an idea and give it shape, day after day, until the work is completed. The translation from Sardinian "mastros," which means craftsman, is a dedication to Grandfather Bachisi, our first vine master.
