About Winery and Wines
Carvinea is a boutique winery located in the countryside of Carovigno, in the Alto Salento region of Puglia, Italy. Founded in the early 2000s by Beppe di Maria, the winery is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The estate spans approximately 18 hectares, with vineyards planted primarily with indigenous grape varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Fiano, as well as international varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are situated at altitudes ranging from 250 to 450 meters above sea level, benefiting from the calcareous-clay soils and the Mediterranean climate influenced by the proximity to both the Adriatic and Ionian seas.
Carvinea employs meticulous vineyard management practices, including manual pruning and harvesting, to ensure the highest quality grapes. Traditional methods are combined with modern winemaking techniques, such as the use of cutting-edge technologies from the Wine Research Team, to produce elegant wines that express the authenticity and character of each grape variety.

The winery offers two main lines of wines:
Traditional Line: These wines are crafted to preserve the authenticity and character of each grape variety. Each bottle is the result of loving and meticulous care, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, at every stage of production.
Alta Selezione DM Line: Aimed at exclusivity for special occasions, this line involves specific vineyard practices, such as narrowing the peduncle about ten days before harvesting to allow for slight drying of the grapes, concentrating the typical aromas of each variety. These wines require calm and dedication in tasting to fully appreciate their complex range of notes and scents.
Carvinea's commitment to quality has been recognized with important awards, reflecting their dedication to producing some of the best wines in Puglia.
