About Winery and Wines

Cave des Rossillonnes is a family-run establishment situated in the heart of La Côte in the county of Vaud. The estate covers a total area of 6.5 hectares of vineyard, of which three are owned by the family, and used to produce wine in our cellar using an environmentally-friendly method (integrated production). The plots of vineyard, all with a guarantee of origin La Côte (AOC), are located between 450 and 500 m above sea-level with a south orientation. Jean-Paul and Martine Besson-Bourguignon took over the Les Rossillonnes estate in 1978, up until then it had been run by René Bourguignon, wine grower and merchant in Vinzel. Their son Martial has worked on the estate since 2000, after having successfully concluded his schooling in wine growing and oenology. Today he holds a Swiss federal master’s degree in viticulture, he took over the running of the estate in 2012. The production of our cellar comes from nine different types of wine. For white wines, we can offer you the traditional Chasselas, famous for its Vinzel label, as well as a Gewürztraminer and a sweet wine. We also have Œil-de-Perdrix for a rosé wine. As for red wine we propose a Gamay, a Pinot Noir and another wine assembled from a mix of Gamaret, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A friendly carnotzet welcomes up to fifteen guests for aperitif and wine-tasting. The Besson family invites you to a visit of its cellar where you can discover its wines. Simply make a telephone call or send an e-mail and it will be our pleasure to welcome you at your convenience!
