This is my favorite Midwestern winery, beautiful wines, fantastic building and grounds and the knowledgeable staff are always willing to assist regardless of how busy it gets. I have attended several festivals and a wedding at this venue and they get a perfect score from my experiences.

Loved the wine. Beautiful grounds. Chateau Rouge was an amazing sweet red dessert wine. Chateau Rosé was also delightful.

While I did love the decor (inside and out) of this establishment, I thought my experience overall was just okay. While I realize a winery in Minnesota/Wisconsin may have a harder time in comparison to those on the west coast, I thought most of the wines were average at best. Only 1 white and 1 red stand out as decent (out of a dozen or so); as well, the staff while pleasant, did not provide us with any additional details/history/etc.

About Winery and Wines

A true appreciation for wine can be uncovered in the lush wine valleys of Europe, where history and tradition are as rich as the wine itself. I am proud to introduce you to Chateau St. Croix, a winery created in the image of a European estate, complete with vineyard, a carriage house, stables, and formal gardens. Modeled after a French Chateau once owned by a Black Musketeer, Chateau St. Croix Winery is located in the heart of the picturesque St. Croix River Valley. Our mission is to source the highest quality local and California grapes, so that we can craft award winning wines for your pleasure. Experience a touch of Europe only a short drive from home! - Matthew Scott, Winemaker
