Colombo Sormani

About the Winery

The Colombo Sormani winery was founded in 2019 by life long friends Lorenzo Colombo and Sormani Andrea with the goal of continuing the centuries old local winemaking tradition in a unique territory capable of giving excellent wines.
It started with a 3000 squared meters vineyard in the Sassella area. We now farm almost 2 hectares located in Sondrio, Castione Andevenno, Ponte in Valtellina and Teglio.

All the vineyards are terraced with dry walls and all the work is done by hand following the organic farming rules.

The winery is located in the historic town of Chiuro in the middle of the beautiful Valtellina.

About the Wines

We try to make our wines in the most natural way possible. We use indigenous yeasts for fermentations, malolactic fermentations are spontaneous. The musts aren't adjusted, the wines are not fined or filtered.

All our wines are red made with the local grape called Chiavennasca but genetically a Nebbiolo. There is also a rosato wine coming up.
