Conti Ducco – Among the Founders of Franciacorta
In 1968, Count Piero founded the renowned Conti Ducco company. Specialization in the production of Franciacorta began around the 1990s, with Count Piero being one of the few founding members of the Consorzio Franciacorta. He helped lay the foundations for one of Italy’s most prestigious DOCG regions, playing a pivotal role in the establishment of the territory and the method that proudly bears its name. Today, the thriving business is led by Count Giorgio, a promoter of forward-thinking innovations and an advocate of the bold philosophy favoring wines crafted entirely at their origin. These artisanal specialties embody meticulous and daily care, translating into direct oversight at every stage of production, from the vineyard to the cellar, ensuring products that express the essence of the territory from which they originate.
