4/15/16
I visited this winery on a bachelorette party with 13 other girls. They accommodated our group wonderfully. We enjoyed a wine tasting and appetizers, and it made for the perfect afternoon. The Antipasto Platter and Cheese Board were phenomenal, and there wasn't a single wine that we tasted that we didn't like. The rose was definitely a favorite. The entire staff was very welcoming, we were helped by Michelle, Jackson & Annie.... thank you for a fantastic visit! We hope to come back on our next visit to Colorado!

I am only giving a three star...

8/28/15
I am only giving a three star because I called ahead to make a reservation for a special lunch get together and the girl said it was not necessary. I explained I wanted to sit on the terrace but she said it won't be a problem because the kids would be back in school. But when we arrived on a Wed they said it was an hour and a half wait for the terrace and the man out front that met us was rather rude and short when I told him I had tried to make a reservation. I did not find the staff very friendly at all...I asked to have the cheese board explained and the waitress flipped the menu open to something and shoved it at me. However the wine was quite good and so was the food. Disappointed in the seating and the staff.

About Winery and Wines

A hobby begun in the early 1980s turned into a family business for Bill and Anita Donahue and their son, Tim. Anita and her Italian family cultivated the Donahue's deep appreciation for the sharing of wine and food with family and friends. Creekside Cellars became a bonded Colorado limited winery in 1996. We opened our doors to the public in 2000, the day after Thanksgiving, and in 2002 we planted our own vineyard in Palisade, Colorado, called Vinelands. More than a winery, Creekside Cellars doubles as an Italian café featuring an outdoor deck overhanging Bear Creek. We pride ourselves in offering excellent wine and food to share among good people. Creekside is a special destination for a lunch of panini sandwiches…or to linger over one of our famous antipasto platters with a bottle of wine and the company of friends and loved ones.

THE VINELANDS, our vineyard in Palisade, CO was planted in 2002 and sits on approximately 10 acres. Immediately adjacent to the Colorado River in the Grand River Valley A.V.A., Vinelands provides us with Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, and Muscat grapes. We have no public facilities on our vineyard. The fruit is harvested and trucked to our winery in Evergreen, CO where it is crushed, cellared and bottled for sale exclusively at Creekside Cellars.
