Here at Tenuta Casteani you can partake in a pleasant tasting of excellent wines, typical of the Tuscan Maremma, carried out in a genuine, user-friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. Our newly built winery, surrounded by woods and vineyards, is warm, pleasant, and well maintained, but at the same time authentic and completely characteristic, where you will appreciate the true hospitality of the Tuscan Maremma. It is the ideal place to try the typical products of our territory: white and red wines of our production, obtained from native grapes of the Tuscan Maremma. Over the years, the wines you will taste during the tasting have received important awards in sectoral guides and prestigious wine competitions, such as Decanter, Gambero Rosso, the Brussels World Competition, and James Sukling. The tasting will be accompanied by local products such as cured meats, cheeses, and the typical Maremman “schiaccia”. The combination with the products of our territory enhances the peculiar characteristics and aromas of our wines, as well as to make the experience even more pleasant, complete, and therefore unforgettable. Don’t worry if you don’t know anything about wine or if you do not have any tasting experience. Our tours are within the reach of the non-experienced. Wine is first of all a pleasure to be shared with others, and this is the spirit with which we carry out our business.
In tasting you will find only our best-selling wines, as well as the best vintages available: you will start with a very fresh Vermentino in purity, followed by a typical Sangiovese Tuscan aged in cask for 12 months, to finish with an elegant blend of Sangiovese and Merlot aged in barrique for 24 months.
