About Winery and Wines

Ellipsis Wine Company is run by husband and wife team, Jonathan and Devika. The winery was established in 2008 shortly after both finished studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Jonathan for Agribusiness and Devika for Wine and Viticulture. Both of us grew up in Sonoma County and came back to be close to our family when we decided to start a family of our own. We now have two future winemakers, Elyah (6) and Elliot (2). The winery began with Jonathan and a couple buddies making a barrel of Dry Creek Valley Cabernet for family and friends. The wine quickly grew and popularity and so did the wine company. Today, we average around 1000 case production, focusing on quality over quantity. Because it is essentially the two of us and our consulting winemaker, Rick Davis, we are very hands on in every aspect from the vineyard to the end consumer. Currently we source our fruit from various select vineyards in Northern California. Vineyards we work with are carefully selected based on sustainable growing practices and the relationships that have been built with the growers. It’s all abut the vineyard to us and we like to showcase that in our vineyard designate wines! Currently we live on a ranch and farmstead in Cloverdale, where we do private group tastings and events in a newly renovated redwood red barn, originally built in 1908. We hope you will come visit us!
