About Winery and Wines

A winery with a long wine-making tradition, is located in the pristine Valle di Chio, in the province of Arezzo, where weather conditions are ideal for the production of excellent Valdichiana DOC and IGT Toscana wines and quality extra-virgin olive oil. When grand-father Michele passed away in 1983, wine and olive-oil production was restricted to family use only until 1996 when sisters-in-law Lidia e Roberta decided to resume producing quality wine as a new farm-holiday business was getting underway. This woman-run estate comprises over 130 acres of land, 12 of which are devoted to vineyards standing on south-facing, marly soil at an average height of 330 m a.s.l. Grape varieties include Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Syrah, Merlot, Aleatico, Trebbiano, Grechetto and Vermentino. The accurate selection of grapes during the hand-harvesting phase, their careful processing in the cellar through a combination of modern technologies and traditional wisdom make our wines a true expression of the land which they come from. During the business hours and at other times the cellar is open for guided visits and tasting
