About Winery and Wines

The Fattoria Poggio San Martino farm is a family-run company located in San Giovanni in Marignano, a small village in the Rimini area, in the heart of Romagna. The company develops its production activity on 20 hectares of surface where vines and olive trees are grown with great passion and dedication. The land is cultivated in full respect of the environment to offer our customers quality, good and genuine products. The winery was born in 1958 by Mario Galli, who handed down the secrets of the trade to his son and current owner Antonio and later to his granddaughter Sara, who completed his studies in Viticulture and Oenology, joined the company bringing enthusiasm, innovation and passion to this family tradition. The experience and tradition, combined with modernization and respect for the territory, allow us to obtain wines, extra virgin olive oil, honey, jams, grappas and pickles typical of the Romagna area.

The Fattoria Poggio San Martino farm is located in San Giovanni in Marignano a small Malatesta village about 3 km from the Romagna Riviera, which has always been the emblem of a rich and varied hinterland where history, culture, art and picturesque landscapes are combined with a superb culinary tradition. A unique place of its kind characterized by the presence of land lying on gentle hills overlooking the coast, looking in the distance at the Adriatic Sea. Here the microclimate and the composition of the soil are extremely favorable for dynamic agriculture and at the same time respectful of natural balances. The company land is dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards, olive groves and arable land. Among the historical vines grown on the farm, the best known is undoubtedly Sangiovese, whose grapes are the basis of the most prestigious wines in all of Italy. Here in Romagna this product with great versatility gives today in its homeland great wines, guaranteed by the Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.).
