About Winery and Wines
Fattoria Valdrighi, established in 1939 by Athos Valdrighi, is a family-run winery that has been passed down through generations, now passionately managed by Davide Giannoni. Nestled on the hill of Montecarlo, in the picturesque province of Lucca, this winery celebrates over 80 years of winemaking tradition. Montecarlo, a small town with a population of about 4,400, is renowned for its well-preserved historical center and city walls. The region, spanning 1,600 hectares, is one of Italy’s smallest DOC territories, producing high-quality wines that embody the area's rich winemaking history and commitment to excellence.
Fattoria Valdrighi produces a range of exceptional wines, including Montecarlo's celebrated DOC wines. The region's white DOC, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, and the Rosso DOC are the pride of the area, offering refined and well-balanced flavors that reflect the unique terroir. Alongside these prestigious DOC wines, the winery also crafts excellent IGT wines, showcasing the diversity and quality of the region’s vineyards. Each bottle from Fattoria Valdrighi is a testament to the winery's dedication to tradition, quality, and the rich viticulture heritage of Montecarlo.
