Last year we were fortunate enough to go to The Fess Parker Winery and latter to his hotel for lunch in Los Olivos. What a fantastic time. Fess Parker was a hero of mine and I had come a long way to sample his fine wines. They were also able to give us a short tour of the winery. Absolutely down home hospitality and some of the finest wines I have ever tasted. I suggest to everyone I know to take the trip to, The Fess Parker Winery for a truly wonderful time.

For the wines, they’re all pretty darn solid. As to the tasting room itself, it’s great!

What a good plan of attack for the day is, grab a picnic (or pick up some sliced cheese and meats here), get a bottle of wine and enjoy the grounds.

This is a fantastic and inviting tasting room/winery that really invites you in and helps you relax.

A great place to go wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley. We've been wine club members here for a few years and have chosen to have our shipments set for pick-up rather than shipping just so we have an excuse to come up here every few months. It is an easy drive up from LA (about 2.5 hours) and can easily be done as a day trip or weekend away.

We love to do the tasting and then bring a picnic to sit on the grass. You can also buy a bottle and they will provide glasses for you to take the wine with you for your picnic or they have tables/couches if you prefer that to sitting on the grass. The snacks for purchase are limited so be sure to bring some of your own.
