About Winery and Wines

An ancient Venetian Villa immersed in the quiet countryside of Treviso, a corner of paradise, surrounded by water just a few kilometres from Venice. In this magnificent setting, Villa Onesti, designed by Baldassarre Longhena, former architect of the Basilica della Salute, opens its doors with its characteristic 17th century tower and sundial, the remains of the grandiose Villa Da Lezze, which was lost in a mysterious fire. Let yourself be captivated by the fascinating history of the estate, told with simplicity and sympathy by the owners. Treat yourself to a walk through the vineyards accompanied by a glass of wine produced with passion and commitment by the Fioravanti Onesti family. A sunset among the rows of vines, comfortably seated on the terrace of the shop, tasting a Prosecco D.O.C Millesimato, a still wine or a Rosè. Unforgettable moments that will turn a few hours into a little daydream, for adults and children alike, free to seek out and chase the farm's wild animals. The estates on which Fioravanti Onesti wine is still grown have a very ancient past, the subject of historical and architectural studies. As far back as 1680, in fact, various documents mention the 'Villa da Lezze' designed by the most famous architect of the time, the Venetian Baldassarre Longhena, already well known for having built important buildings such as the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute and Ca' Rezzonico in Venice. Among the many memories, the description of the magnificent palace by the scholar Lorenzo Cricco in one of his trips in 1832 is sufficient: "...The grandiose building erected in this province by the famous author of the church of Santa Maria della Salute in Venice, Baldassare Longhena, in Rovarè for N.U. Da Lezze, was a shining example of this.

The excellence of the territory combined with the great tradition of Prosecco producers in Treviso gives Fioravanti Onesti wines a superior quality. The area of San Biagio di Callalta has always had a natural vocation for the cultivation of vines. There are, in fact, veins of soil that enhance the quality, flavour and fragrance of the grapes produced, just like those that run through the estates of Fioravanti Onesti. Thanks to caranto, a type of calcareous clay of alluvial origin, the wines of the area express a particular typicity and are also grouped together in a single large route called 'Strada dei Vini del Piave'. Our collection includes some of the best expressions of Prosecco DOC Treviso and the red grape varieties of DOC Venezia such as Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Franc, as well as a sparkling rosé that enhances the traditional character of a historic grape variety for our province such as Raboso Veronese.
