Fabulous setting looking away from the highway. Food is excellent too. On quiet days it can feel a little dead, though.

The Restaurant at Gabrielskloof is one of the gems of the Western Cape. The personal touch of the chef and his wife is something that you have to go far to beat.
You can try anything on the menu - it will be good, because the chef know how to use the best food to create his artwork.
We will be back.

We were there for a wedding and had the best time. We stayed in botrivier and is very close to the venue. The wine is delicious and the venue stunning

L'accueil fut très chaleureux. Le cadre fut idyllique.

Nous avons testé les vins ils furent très bons pour peu chère. Nous avons en même temps commander de la nourriture et cela fut très bon avec une grande quantité pour un petit prix.

Cet établissement fait aussi hôtel et je pense que c'est l'endroit parfait pour se reposer et déguster du vin :-) .

Gabriëlskloof is a family owned and run wine estate just off the N2 outside Botrivier. With sweeping views of the Babylonstoren mountains and the surrounding wheat fields, understated architecture and stylish, comfortable interiors, our aim is to show visitors true Overberg hospitality. In a relaxing atmosphere we invite you to taste our wines and olive oil, accompanied perhaps hearty meat and cheese platter, or tasted as part of our perfect food and wine pairing. Across the lawn is The Restaurant @Gabriëlskloof, ready to entice locals and seasoned travellers alike with mouth-watering, sincere cuisine and a deli filled to the rafters with all things handmade, homemade, delicious, fresh and beautiful. The farm and vineyards were established in 2000, with our first vintage made in the cellar in 2009. Some years on, we are confident that as our roots dig ever deeper into Botrivier our understanding of the terroir will multiply, along with wines that elegantly, understatedly, simply speak for themselves.
