I recently had the opportunity to visit Greenvale Vineyard on a trip down to Newport and had an absolute blast. The location is truly gorgeous and I would definitely recommend bringing your camera when you visit.

Our tasting guide, Maggie, was very knowledgeable about the vineyard and their wines, but also suggested other places to visit and was just generally very helpful. Definitely talk with her when you go and be sure to have a glass of their Chardonnay - it's delicious.

This is an essential stop if you are looking to relax and enjoy some great wine.

I have been to Greenvale Vineyards many times. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the people that work there are both pleasant and knowledgeable. My favorite wine is the Cabernet Franc but honestly I enjoy them all. I'd have to say the live jazz music in the summer and fall time really makes for a wonderful afternoon. Whenever we have company we always take them to Greenvale. Its fun, relaxing and we don't have to worry about meter maids. Well worth the trip.
