This was a surprise! Located in the tiny and sleepy town of San Simeon at the foot of the Hearst Ranch, did expect to find this. The tastings I had were good and I'd recommend their wine club if you like what you taste. They'll ship it to you and you won't have to make the drive over unless you want.

Found this place by accident while driving up the PCH to Big Sur and ever since, over the past year I have been here four times and each one has been as fabulous as the first!

Not only is the wine top notch (the grapes come from the Hearst Ranch Vineyard in Paso Robles) and the tasting excellent for $10 (they will waive the fee if you buy a bottle, which, trust me, you will), but what makes it such a fun and enjoyable experience is the staff! Geraldine will have you laughing the entire time you're there! She takes the pretension out if wine tasting and makes it a fun and interactive event!

They sell wine by the glass, bottle, and case and from what I could see they Wine Club is not only popular, but a good deal. If I didn't live out of state, I would have joined already myself!

I even got to meet the owner, Stephen Hearst, who was there signing his new book on this history of the Hearst Ranch on my most recent visit. What a genuinely nice and charismatic guy!

Definitely worth a stop as a pitstop or a destination in and of itself!
