The winery tour is by far the best I've ever had. They do almost everything from growing grapes to bottling, and the folks giving the tours are not hired help, they are the owners. The owners are scientists and engineers and can tell you everything from soil chemistry to the price of oak aging, etc. It was an eye-opening view into the world of wine. The tasting was great, as were their pairing suggestions. If you must do one tour of Napa, this is the one for the scientifically minded.

Fabulous tour. I learned more about winemaking...

Fabulous tour. I learned more about winemaking and grape growing here than I have at any other winery. The tasting was extremely educational as well, and my wife and I learned what wines we truly like and why, as well as tips on tasting wines. Best thing is the cost of the tour goes towards your wine purchases there.

Outstanding tour! If you are looking to get drunk, this is NOT the winery or tour for you. If you are looking for a comprehensive, in depth and personal tour and discussion about wine from one of the most knowledgeable wine makers in Napa, call now. It was an absolute pleasure to spend 3 hours with owner and winemaker George Hendry and it was by far the best tour/education session and visit to a winery I've ever had. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Bonus - the tour fee is waived with equivalent purchase!

About Winery and Wines
The Hendry family has been farming the same vineyard in Napa since 1939. The lessons learned in more than 75 harvests provide us with a high level of knowledge and a unique connection to the land. The Hendry Ranch is composed of 203 acres situated in the hills north west of Napa, which include 114 acres of vineyard. This latitude and location in the valley experiences substantial marine influence, and allows us to grow 11 different varietals, each carefully distributed among our many vineyard blocks. All Hendry wines are made from estate grapes. Our wines are crafted to highlight the terroir of the vineyard.
