Staff are very knowledgeable about the wines they sell. The wines themselves are excellent and priced fairly for the quality. Although just passing through for a taste, I was very impressed with the facilities. Wife and I just finished a bottle of 2012 Terroir Cache, one of the best reds I've ever tasted. Will definitely visit in the future and highly recommend a visit if you're nearby or passing through.

About Winery and Wines

Hidden Bench owns and sustainably farms three vineyards on the Beamsville Bench having a total area of 101 acres and a actual growing area 71.5 acres. Currently, 47.6 acres are in actual production with the remaining 23.9 acres being part of our current replanting and redevelopment programme. These new vines will come online and enter into our production over the next five to seven years. The oldest blocks that we farm are Chardonnay and Riesling vines that were planted in 1976/1977 at the Rosomel Vineyard. Although all of vineyards are situated within the premium Beamsville Bench VQA sub-appelation the unique soil profiles and terroir of each vineyard impart differing flavour characteristics which our winemaker can use as a blending tool to enhance the finished product of our wines. When warranted, we will produce a single vineyard-designated wine to recognize its unique and appealing flavour profile. Great wine starts in the vineyard and we are blessed with three of the greatest vineyard sites on Beamsville Bench and for that matter, in all of Niagara.
