I have enjoyed the Kettle Valley wines...

2/13/14
I have enjoyed the Kettle Valley wines for a number of years. first the old main red and then their very tastie rose Pinot Gris. not to forget their Merlot is always awesome. Visit them on the Naramat Bench north of Penticton during the season and you'll love them too!

About Winery and Wines

The growing temperatures to the end of June were about 20% higher than the highest previous year in the last 20 years. This summer is very reminiscent of 1998, a very hot summer that lead to an earlier harvest in that September. Some very big reds were produced that season that have held up and aged remarkably! So prospects look good. We have managed to stay ahead in the vineyards as we appear to be about three weeks ahead of a normal year at this time. We are planning on an early harvest, so are getting our 2013 reds into bottle. Something we have learned over our 24 years of history, that we always keep in mind, is that the weather tends to find a way to normalize, a hotter than normal spring or summer usually leads to a cooler than normal fall or an earlier than normal frost. So although we are excited about the weather to date and the prospects of a great harvest, we try to temper our enthusiasm with the knowledge of the cool August and September months that we have experienced in the past. And as we head towards our 25th year, as the oldest single-owner winery on the Naramata Bench, we still love making great wine, and sharing it with our friends. Our families' commitment is as strong as ever to farming full flavoured grapes, and to wine-making that brings out the best of those flavours and subtelties for you, our friends, to enjoy. Whether you’ve known us for all of our years, or if we are just meeting you for the first time, we welcome you to climb aboard and join us, as we roll forward into our 25th season and raise a glass to fine fruit, family and friends.
