accoglienza nel canavese

9/1/23

About Winery and Wines

La Masera was born in Settimo Rottaro, in the Canavese area (north of the province of Turin, on the border between Valle d'Aosta and Biella), in 2005 by a group of friends who used to tell each other that it would be good, one day, to be able to produce the Erbaluce Passito, a "magic" product that was born from the wise hands of the local peasants and that, in autumn evenings, their grandparents and parents brought them to see and taste. Many years have passed, everyone has made his course both in family and professional life, but one day they came back to their dream: as if time had not passed, with the same care as many years before, they talked about their projects. The time to realize that dream had finally come. And so, with passion, tenacity, commitment and much enjoy, they built La Masera. And a lot of this passion and energy lies in their product: some trace of the dream comes even to those who choose to taste La Masera wines.

The company has a 5-hectare vineyard area with pergola and rows in the DOCG of the Erbaluce di Caluso and owns a professional winery in Piverone (TO). The treated vines are: erbaluce, barbera, freisa, vespolina, neretto, nebbiolo. The top of the range are represented by the productions based on the Erbaluce: the passito, the still whites and the sparkling classic method, in pas dosé version as well. There are also some D.O.C. red wines, two of which are pure, Canavese Barbera and Canavese Nebbiolo and two, Red Canavese and Canavese Rosato, obtained from different types of vinification. The production is enriched by the sparkling rosé classic method.
