We were in North Carolina, visiting my son and just happened to come upon Lake Road Winery. It was a great wine tasting and have loved all the wines. Just opened the Cabernet Sav. AWESOME!!!! When we were there they had a limited supply. Great taste.

absoulutely loved this place. The wine was amazing and the people were awesome. Very relaxed atmosphere and probably one of the best wine tastings I've ever been involved in.My wife has never been to a wine tasting and loved the atmosphere. Definitely suggest this place.

Me and my husband are new to...

Me and my husband are new to the area and this was definitely a wonderful place to start our journey for visiting wineries in the area. The gentleman in charge was very helpful, informative, and kind. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommended. All the wines where amazing. We only bought two bottles but we also noticed other items like jelly's and jam's.

Mitchell Smith, owner, has lived in the area all his life and is very knowledgeable of all the places to visit here. He makes his own wines and has a large variety that will please everyone. In addition to wine he sells wonderful jams, jellies, jewelry, T-shirts and gift items. You will enjoy your visit to Lake Road Winery.

Since that time Mitchell has expanded his personal love of wine making into an operational winery in Newport, North Carolina.
