Lynfred Winery in Roselle, IL has always been my favorite place to get wine. My favorite wines is their Sparkling Cherry wine. It bubble so sweetly with a little bit of tart. The service is great too. They never keep you waiting long and always have a smile to share. Sometimes, I like to buy their delicious bread of the month, my favorite is their Fred's Cheddar. On my way out I slip my receipt in a huge barrel for a monthly drawing, hoping to win whatever they are offering.

Seating was a little light but the atmosphere, wine, and snacks were top notch. A good way to spend a couple hours on the veranda sipping wine and talking. Will definitely come back.

Lynfred winery, a wine gem hidden around beer bars and strip malls you'd never expect to find deep in suburbia. They have select wines for tasting every month and a full (house wine) bar available. The bar and shop have a cabin feel with wood paneling everywhere and softer light that gives a rather cozy feeling. The shop is smaller but works for its purpose with snack sausages, cheeses, crafts, wine novelty items and of course wine for sale. The bar is clean and small but just like the shop suits it's purpose well. The bartenders were very friendly and even arriving after tasting hours still poured a glass for my wife and I. They appear to have a glass maximum per a posting by the door to only allow 2 glasses of wine so as to not allow patrons to leave drunk. Which is good and responsible in my eyes. The wine is strong and delicious, so 2 glasses goes down quite nicely. The distillery area is very clean a loaded with stainless stills and piping. I was told they also do tours of the distillery floor, which I would be very interested in, and attached to the distillery is the banquet room. I didn't not see this room as there was a wedding just finishing up when we arrived. The building itself is also quite nice. The drive around the building is brick and the 2 story building had nice and well kept landscaping. The parking lot however was rather small. There were a few spots next to the shop but in the rear is the main parking with about a dozen or so spots. But t

Very good wines. Atmosphere of the tasting room and the gift shop are very nice. They offer tours in the cellar to see how the wines are made. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also make their own breads and have nosh plates available when doing a tasting.

Though we've not stayed there, we've toured the upstairs B&B and it is exquisite. My only complaint would be that the pours on the tastings have gotten a little stingy. But overall this place is gem.
