About Winery and Wines

The story of our grapes begins a long time ago when Aversa was called Liburia. When people were already talking about a grape that had no equal. Our family has been dedicated to the cultivation of Asprinio grapes in Agro Aversano's native grape variety since 2010, starting with grapes of the highest quality, safeguarding them from the risk of extinction. We combine innovative choices such as espalier planting with the tradition of local viticulture. Yes, we are a family business, but the result is that you will find only excellent products with us, the same as on our tables. Masseria Campito is more than wine. More than a place. it is a way of life: convivial, free, and young. In company, when everything tastes better.

We cultivate about six hectares of vineyards organically, entirely in contrada Casolla in the municipality of Gricignano di Aversa, in an area particularly suited to the production of Asprinio grapes. We bottle exclusively the product of our grapes, as required by F.i.V.I. regulations, guaranteeing a very short and entirely directly supervised supply chain. The vineyards, located about 50 meters above sea level vegetate on medium-textured, deep, and fertile soils (among the best in Campania Felix) well exposed from north to south and from east to west. The grapes are harvested by hand in 20-kilo crates, with an average production of 80/90 Q./Ha (against a production specification that allows up to a maximum of 120 Q./Ha) and are cold-processed for both still and sparkling types.
We produce:

Asprinio di Aversa DOC Atellanum - White wine, fermented in steel tanks for 3 months: fresh and sour, typically tasting of lemon zest, white apple, and yellow flowers.
Asprinio di Aversa Spumante Brut Drengot - 6 months Charmat method, fine bubbles, and freshness again. Salty and young.
Asprinio di Aversa Spumante Metodo Classico Priezza - 40 months Classic method. The finest dress of Asprinio. Smooth and complex, with great flavor of yeast and its peculiar taste of citrus fruits.
