Midalidare Estate is a project of the Kazakhstani businessman Eugene Yusupov. Although he is not living in Bulgaria himself, his love for history, good wine and beautiful nature made him invest in Mogilovo village. A few years later and many more hours of hard labor transformed Midalidare into attractive destination for wine tourism. The first wine cellar of Midalidare has been built in 2009. The goal of the Cellar was to produce bottled wine in small series but with a strong character with a capacity of only 120 000 bottles per year. This project kicked out successfully and in 2011 was opened a second cellar in Mogilovo with a capacity of 160 000 bottles per year. Midalidare cultivates 160 ha of vineyards, all in the area of Mogilovo, where the furthest distance from one of both cellars is barely 5 km. Wine is produced exclusively from grapes of own vineyards and the wine technology incorporates all modern requirements for environmentally friendly product.

We cultivate more than 160 ha of vineyards which is several times bigger than the production capacity of Midalidare. This is a good thing for us because we have enough stock in case of a bad year or poor vintage - to select the best grapes for our wines. The cultivation and growing of the vines and the quality of grape vintage is the primary responsibility of our vineyard agriculturalists - Ivan kolaksazov and Francesco Fogolin. Most of the viticulture operations are done manually thus paying extra attention to details. Quality is our top priority and that is why in early August we do pruning or reduction of the yield. A certain percentage of grapes are being removed from the vine in order to reduce the yield in quantity but to ger better quality grapes. Our winery has the most modern control methods in every stage of the production process. Our vineyards are equipped with monitoring equipment that ensures the correct management of the vineyards. Our vineyards are situated in several areas /Dabovets, Shipka, Karaliets/ where the soil varies between cinnamon forest, alluvial, medium to highly clay soils.
