Tour was nice but the tasting room was even better! Loved all the wines and the guide was fun. They had juice & crackers for our kids while we sampled.

Great food and awesome music! I was here during the spring and was able to enjoy the winery tour (the creme sherry was amazing!) and jam on the rooftop with a live band! The music was easy listening and the atmosphere is almost carribean. Feels like you're on an instant vacation outside of the US. In addition, the sangria is the best that you will ever have, with sliced fruit inside. Best place ever, visit soon and often!

(Disclaimer: Central FL visitor here for a trip. Only did tour and tasting on 1st floor). Despite arriving LATE TO THE TOUR, we were STILL PERMITTED THE TASTING. Therefore I only expected 4 samples… NOT 10! (Although it AMOUNTED TO A MERE SPLASH… YAY). Besides the typical, they EVEN FEATURED ROSA, SHERRY, AND A PORT! Unfortunately WE FLEW THROUGH THE TASTING I didn’t have time to ponder the flavors. One day I’d love to take the free tour. My brief encounter with the 3RD FLOOR REVEALED A LARGE, COMFY AREA partially open to the sky with great views of the town while you sip some drinks.

About Winery and Wines

Our 80-acre vineyard, known as Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards, is located in Clermont, Fla. Additionally we own 450 acres in Florida's panhandle in Prosperity and contract with several growers throughout the Southeast with approximately 200 acres under contract. Our produce, Florida hybrid bunch grapes, include Stover, Suwannee, and Blanc Du Bois. We also grow native varieties of the red Noble and bronze Carlos and Welder Muscadines.

Our vineyard produces Muscadines and bunch-grape varieties developed in the South and in Florida for disease resistance and adaptability to a warm, humid climate. Breeding programs over the past 50 years by plant geneticists and food scientists have brought about dozens of new types of Muscadine and bunch-grapes, some of which are excellently suited to winemaking. The bunch-grape varieties used in our wines are Suwannee, Stover, and Blanc Du Bois. The Muscadine varieties we use are Noble (red), Carlos, and Welder (whites). Our vineyard does not yet provide all the grapes we need, for this reason we contract with other growers to provide the balance of the juice we need.
