About Winery and Wines

Home | Farm | Wines | Events | Neighbourhood | Contacts In the area around Diano d'Alba, close to the Barolo area, the vineyards of the wine farm "Fratelli Savigliano" are arranged on high hills, upto 400m above sea level and sometimes very steep. The most favourable positions, oriented towards south, south/west, are designated by the name "Sori". A limestone and soft clayey soil priveleges the growing of the Dolcetto wine grapes, which in this area has got a particular structure and aroma, as well as of the Barbera, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay, Favorita, Grignolino and Moscato wine grapes. The vineyard of the Barolo wine, one of the most important wines of Italy, is situated near the village of La Morra, which offers superb landscapes. The Fratelli Savigliano farm has a long family tradition in wine production. We are very proud to tell you our long history and our passion for wines, and we like to show you our facilities. We wish you a warm welcome in our 'cantina' to try the excellence of our products.
