Crowded for a reason. They are expanding space this year. Vines are 20 years old and all wines are made from those grapes. Award-winning wines that stand up to the hype. Outdoor grill, fire pit and friendly staff. Happy to have visited.

Found this vineyard/winery on the way to my boyfriend's family's house. Beautiful wedding and event space, as well as the perfect backdrop to enjoy a glass of wine (or two)!

About Winery and Wines

Ron established Sharp Mountain Vineyards with a single focus: to produce the best quality wines possible. With vines that are all European Vinifera, SMV produces approximately 11 tons annually with winery capacity of 800 cases per year. This lower capacity enables Ron to give his wines the kind of individual attention that makes each wine special. All of the wines produced are low in sulfites with balanced tannins.

We proudly produce 11 varieties of the region’s finest wines. We are the only Georgia winery to grow and produce Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris. SMV is the proud recipient of multiple awards from the first vintage 2004 Merlot to the most recent being the 2012 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. We are pleased to announce the results of our three entries in this event: 2009 Merlot-Silver Medal, 2010 Pinot-Noir – Bronze Medal, 2010 Collage (Bordeaux) –Bronze Medal. Our 2013 Collage won a Silver Medal in the Wines of the South competition!
