The previous owners selected and developed the property in 1995, into a vineyard and an attractive country garden. Coming from New Zealand they name the property Silverstream after their hometown north of Wellington. The picturesque undulating property boasts natural karri forests, fertile soils and ocean views. The Silverstream logo symbolises both vineyard and garden. Initially, the grapes were harvested and sold on a grower contract basis. As new owners, they enjoyed selling their first harvest; however, a remaining eight rows of Chardonnay was left behind. With locals, these grapes were hand-picked and delivered to the local winery, who made their first wine – Silverstream Unwooded Chardonnay 2005 Our aim is to produce premium fruit resulting in cool climate single vineyard wines that express Denmark regionality.
