We bought 2 bottles of wine, instead of 4, because it was not possible to have the invoice (only for 200 euros or more).

About Winery and Wines
Azienda Agricola Giovanni Sordo, a wine producer for over a century, is located in the heart of the renowned Barolo region, in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto - a few kilometres from Alba in the province of Cuneo. The estate was founded in 1912 by Giuseppe, but the real turn over came with his son Giovanni who - together with his wife Maria, a true witness of the family history - bought several Nebbiolo vineyards for Barolo - Sorì in the Piedmontese language - among the best in the Barolo wine district. The soil of these vineyards - a compact calcareous marl - is rich in micronutrients that - together with the unique microclimate of the Langhe - create a perfect environment for growing Nebbiolo. It is a vigorous and difficult grape that can produce surprising wines with powerful aromas and great ageing potential.
Currently, the company has a total area of 53 hectares under vine, spread across the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba, Monforte d'Alba, Barolo, Novello, La Morra, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour and Vezza d'Alba. Azienda Agricola Sordo Giovanni is the only winery to produce 8 different types of Barolo - the so-called crus - in 5 different municipalities.
