Great wines and the view from the porch is beyond spectacular. I'm returning when the leaves change. Yes the road is a little scary but you'll make it. The owners are very friendly.

Best Vineyard in VA (so far)
Drive up to the vineyard was Awesome. Been a while since i've driven on a true mountain road. If you have troubles driving in tight spaces, it may be a good idea to have somebody else drive up. Otherwise the wine makes the drive so worth it!
View is PHENOMENAL, Wines are SPECTACULAR, and service was awesome and staff was personable.
This is exactly my type of vineyard to visit. A+

About Winery and Wines
Upon observing steep vineyards planted on either side of the Rhine river during a visit to Europe, Al thought if others can grow grapes on these steep slopes - “I bet I can do that back in Virginia.” Al planted a test vineyard of 200 vines on his mountain-top property. By third leaf, the quality of the fruit was exceptional. Al planted an additional twenty acres and selected the winery location for its unbelievable views. He often joked that he should charge for the view and give away the wine!
