We stopped in more out of curiosity...

3/30/16
We stopped in more out of curiosity than wanting to have a wine tasting and ended up just checking the place out. The couple that runs the place are seniors and the place has a bit of an eclectic feel, not what you would anticipate as a wine tasting. The facilities are nothing fancy here but it does have that surreal feel, like a scene from a Tarantino film.

I think it's worth the stop just for the experience of it all.

This is the best wine that I've...

7/2/13
This is the best wine that I've had in 5 years, easily. I'm apparently allergic to sulfites, which most wines are filled with. The Tarpon Springs Castle Winery makes a wonderful Pinot Noir. We did a chocolate and wine pairing. While I think that the coconut chocolate was out of place with the wines, the rest of the chocolats were nice with the wines. I do think that the chocolates, which are Russel Stover, are not as nice as if they were Godiva, but they still worked well for pairing with Pinot Noir, Merlod, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. I went home with 6 bottles of wine and I plan on doing another tasting. The owners of this establishment were wonderful to talk to about wines. Their process may take longer than your average California winery, but it's well worth the wait.
