About Winery and Wines

Records for Terlingham Manor tell of a colourful history that dates back as far the 13th century, with the manor even getting an honourable mention in the Doomsday book. Now home to English Wine enthusiasts, Graham and Lorna Wilks, this beautiful ancient red brick farmhouse embarked on its next historical triumph when the vines were planted in 2006. The first Terlingham wine was produced in 2008, with the business raising its profile ever since. Home to one of the UK’s smallest commercial wineries and with all its wines produced on site by hand, Terlingham Vineyard is certainly an intriguing and unique find. But the historical connection goes back further for Graham, as he has returned to the corner of Kent that has been home to generations of his family. Together with Lorna, they have set their hearts on producing top-class English wine from the mild climate and chalky soil of Kent’s North Downs.
