Great view! The wines were ok, but I'm more of a white wine kind of girl and that's not their strong suit.

Absolutely fantastic wines and views! Valhalla Vineyards has aged wines of the best caliber that can be enjoyed with family and friends while overlooking the Roanoke Valley from the outside tables. The staff was friendly on my visit, but I was disappointed that there was no water provided to rinse my glass between tastings. Regardless of the actual property and staff, Valhalla Vineyards produces my favorite wines in the entire greater Roanoke area.

The wine tasting was all-inclusive, but they served each wine in same glass for all, so didn't get true flavor or bouquet. Should at least provide a water rinse between wines. The person serving was courteous and efficient. Wine was a tad harsh, but the view was absolutely spectacular. We enjoyed a bottle of wine by the outside fireplace. Will certainly go again and take out-of-town guests to see our beautiful valley.

Über das Weingut und die Weine
Valhalla Vineyards has been growing grapes and producing award winning estate wines from a 2000 feet mountaintop overlooking Roanoke Virginia since 1998. Our 21 acre vineyard produces world class cabernet sauvignon, syrah, merlot, chardonnay, cab franc and more. Its decomposing granite soils and unique climate (similar to Rhone Valley of France) afford the premier terroir on the East Coast.
