About Winery and Wines

VIGNE MONACHE uses for its wines only grapes of renowned vineyards, mainly autochthonous, coming from the vineyards owned by Nigro family. Grapes, selected and harvested by hand, are processed and transformed into wine directly and exclusively in the winery of the winery through the use of modern wine making techniques and advanced equipment. Wines are therefore given all the time they need until they are refined in steel tanks and bottled, in the constant search for absolute quality. The fertility of the soil, the salubriousness of the climate, the goodness of the cultivation and processing techniques, the ancient and always new passion of the Nigro family for viticulture give value and quality to the wine production of Vigne Monache winery. Among its wines, "Cottabo", "Assiade", "Reis", "Anima Rosa", "SerVite" is a tribute to the history of the territory, in particular to the nuns served by the monastery of the Holy Spirit of Manduria, eponymous of the district as well as of the winery; it is an eulogy of the Vine, a plant that since many centuries inebriates men and Gods with its nectar, and finally an invitation, as a guarantee of quality, to serve and taste the precious beverage.
