Here is what's in store for you
Immerse yourself in the world of two of the most renowned wines in the world, Barolo and Barbaresco, both made from Nebbiolo grapes. Enjoy a unique experience, created just for you, to learn about the nuances between these two exquisite wines! During this exclusive tasting event, hosted by a wine expert at a cozy wine bar in the center of Neive, you will explore six different glasses of Barolo and Barbaresco. Spend your experience sipping on glasses of ruby red or rust-red wine while learning about the techniques, terroir, and soils used to produce each glass' profoundly different flavors.
Made from 100 percent Nebbiolo grapes, Barbaresco is typical of Piedmont's Nebbiolo Triangle, between the towns of Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive. It is characterized by a ruby red color when young, turning garnet when aged. Certified with the DOCG logo, it is one of the area's most complex and best-rated wines even if less well known than its counterpart, Barolo.
Barolo - like Barbaresco, it is made from 100 percent Nebbiolo grapes and is the area's most prestigious wine, typical of some of the communes in the Langhe hills near the town of Alba. It is always certified with the DOCG logo because of the very strict rules for this wine. Characterized by aromas of goudron and roses, the wine takes on a rust-red color with aging. Barolo must be aged for at least 36 months after the harvest before being released for sale, including 12 months in wood, which makes this wine rich and complex.
In order to make this experience even more unforgettable, enjoy a selection of local charcuterie, including PDO hazelnuts and cheeses to pair with your wines! Don't miss the chance to taste some of the best wines in the world, waiting for you in the iconic Langhe hills near Alba in Piedmont.
