Calçotada & Estate Cava Experience in the Heart of Penedès at Canals & Domingo
Here is what's in store for you
Enjoy a traditional Catalan fire-grilled feast paired with estate cava at our family winery, located just next to the restaurant. This experience begins with a guided visit of the cellar, where you’ll learn about our cava production and aging process, explore our small on-site museum, and take part in a blind tasting of selected cavas from our own cellar.
After the visit, you’ll sit down for a generous meal where cava is served throughout, just a few meters away from where it is aged. The menu is a true celebration of local traditions: all dishes are cooked over old grapevine trunks from our vineyards, giving the food a distinctive aroma that reflects our wine-growing heritage. Bread, allioli, water, and our estate cava are always included.
During calçot season (January to March), the experience becomes a classic calçotada, featuring flame-grilled calçots with romesco sauce, fire-grilled meats, and a homemade dessert. Outside of the season, the menu focuses on traditional specialties cooked over the same vine-wood fire, such as cargolada, grilled meats, pork trotters, and homemade dessert.
Authentic, generous, and deeply connected to the land, this is a unique journey from vine to fire to glass.
